Well, I couldn't resist. I've changed the way Urban Potato looks again.
This is a cool new online encyclopedia based on Wiki. It reminds me a bit of the Hitchhiker's Guide project at www.h2g2.com. After playing with Wiki for a while at work I've fallen in love with its simplicity. After looking at how simple and elegant a Wiki server can be I cringe every time I dig into the hugely complex server code that runs UrbanPotato. Check it out!
O2 is planning to release an updated version of its XDA PocketPC phone. (Click for press release). That makes me very excited, because this device satisifies my original wish list. However, it will only be availalble in Europe. Luckily, the new phone will be tri-band, so I should be able to just buy one and it will work here. That's what I did with my Ericsson T39, which has been a great phone. The only thing to watch out for: the T39 came with a Swedish charging plug and manual. God, how I hate that my lust for gadgets outpaces the production of them.
This weekend Urban Potato got a little facelift.
Something about Urban Potato hasn't sat right with me since I rolled the site out.
I've been doing a lot of research on the web. First of all, Microsoft's Media Center PC has several much cooler models now.
Interesting read. Cyan (the makers of Myst) is creating an online persistent world of Myst. The original game had a way of sucking into it, and I wonder if the online version could do the same. I wish it was not just for the PC, however; XBox-Live would make this very easy access. And, it would give me something to do while waiting for Halo2.
